Dear Parents, Students, Staff, and Community,

PSAE Information

The Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE) consists of two state-mandated exams for juniors- ACT ( Tuesday April 23rd ) and WorkKeys (Wednesday April 24th)- required for graduation. Both testing days are equally important for Lane Tech as a school and for our students. High achievement on the PSAE can help students earn academic scholarships, gain entry into prestigious universities across the Nation, and possibly receive a National Career Readiness Certificate (based upon WorkKeys achievement). Likewise, Lane Tech is rated nationally and locally for their combined achievement on both days of testing. Junior parents, please encourage your children to eat a healthy breakfast, report to school by 7:40 a.m., and to do their best on both tests. Although standardized testing is only one aspect of measuring student success, we are confident in our students' abilities to continue our tradition of academic excellence! Please look on the main page of our website under "Announcements" for more PSAE information.
