First Day of School – September 4, 2018

August 31, 2018

Dear Lane students and families,

Welcome to the upcoming school year!

We are excited to start the year off with a positive tone and a strong sense of community.  Fall athletic teams have been busy representing our proud tradition and teachers are ready to welcome you back to the classroom.

As you enter this year, I hope that you are excited to be moving closer to college or a career.  Please seek out opportunities to be involved in the life of Lane. Clubs, arts, and athletics are all great ways in which to directly participate or moments that you can attend these events to cheer on your friends.  As we did last year, kindness, empathy, and respect are words of intention and action that we are focusing on as an entire community.  Life sometimes moves very fast, and there can be a sense of getting overwhelmed.  We have counselors, a social worker, and a school psychologist who are available for your support.

Before we realize it we will all be gathering for homecoming.  It is a great time and tradition of coming together to cheer on the Myrtle and Gold.  As always, if you see me or an Assistant Principal, we welcome a wave, high five, handshake, nod, smile or greeting.

Below you will find Tuesday’s bell schedule, seating chart for 9th graders and 7th graders for the auditorium for Tuesday, the room assignments for advisory on Tuesday, as well as a “Where to Find Items” for students who did not pick up items at Quick Start.  Students who did not go through the Quick Start process should report to their advisory rooms and they will be called down to the main office once advisory begins.  If students have forms to turn in, they should bring them to the main office.

Now, let’s get it started for school year 2019!

Go Lane Go!
