Transferring to Lane Tech
Lane Tech is not accepting transfer applications for the 2024-25 school year. Admission is only available to current sixth grade and eighth-grade students who tested into Lane Tech and the Lane Tech Academic Center through the selective enrollment process.
Transferring out of Lane Tech
Parents must schedule an appointment to come in and sign all necessary paperwork in the Records Office. Contact Ms. Degante at ddegante@cps.edu
Parents will need to provide the name of the new school and the student’s new address if the family is moving.
If a student will be attending another Chicago Public School, the student must have a letter of acceptance from the school before the process can begin.
All transfers out of Chicago Public Schools or to another Chicago Public School will be processed after the end of the school year. This is necessary to ensure complete records.
