Welcome to our Quick Start registration process! The link to complete the registration process is now available: Quick Start Link. Thank you for your patience.  All students must successfully complete the entire Quick Start registration process in order to start the school year on the right track. Please ensure that you are using the most updated version of Chrome or Safari (Internet Explorer does not display the information correctly) when accessing the link after August 21, 2020. We recognize that families are navigating through stressful times, so please take a moment to read through the entire process and if you need assistance, please submit questions or concerns through the appropriate links listed below. Please note that any part of this process is subject to change based on CDC and district guidance. 

New for 2020-2021- 

• The majority of our Quick Start process will occur ONLINE – form submission, fee payment, and policy review – and should be completed no later than the day you report for Quick Start (September 1, 2020, September 2, 2020, or September 3, 2020- Quick Start Schedule).  All documents will be signed and submitted electronically except physicals and immunization records which we will collect when you take your photos and pick up items. 
• Lane Tech is transitioning to a 1-1 device school model. In order to expedite the process, we are encouraging all students who have their own portable technology to bring and use their own devices at school when we return to in-person learning. For those students who do not have access to mobile technology at all times, Lane Tech will ensure that every student in need of a device receives one. We are asking that only if you need a device please fill out the remote device request form and we will arrange a pickup.
• Due to remote learning, several fees have been postponed until we return to in-person learning. However, some fees should be paid during the registration process (Lane Tech EPay Website is available now). Only pay the fees that are applicable to you. We recognize that families might not be able to pay fees at this time due to various economic situations , so please apply for the applicable waiver when filling out the Family Income Information form. 

Students should report in person to Lane on their assigned date: September 1, 2020, September 2, 2020, and September 3, 2020 to take their yearbook photo  (these will also serve as ID pictures, grades 7th-12th) and pickup applicable items: Lane Tech Planner, Senior T-Shirts, Yearbooks (2020), Remote Device Request (Remote Device Request ), and I-Nights Refund Request  (This is your last opportunity to get your refund for previously purchased 2020 I-Nights tickets).  Students will not enter the school building; all Quick Start in-person activities will take place outside. 

Students MUST attend on their assigned day and during their allotted time frame unless prior arrangements are made using the following form. If your assigned date and time do not work with your schedule, please complete this form for approval: Quick Start Alternative Date or Time.  An alternative time or date can be provided within the allotted three days only. 

* Please note that reporting in-person is subject to change based on guidance provided by our district.  

Please read each step below in its entirety:  

1. Part One (Complete online starting August 21,2020):  

Submit the all  required Quick Start forms online prior to your assigned Quick Start registration day. The registration link will be sent no later than August 21, 2020. A link to all signed forms (PDF) will be provided once you complete the online submission:

1. • Upload : 2 Proofs of Address & Birth Certificate ( if not already on file)
   • Sign and submit the following documents : Emergency Form, Directory and Recruiter Opt-Out Information, Student Contract (Includes Dress Code, Cell Phone Policy, and Lane Tech’s Tardy/Attendance Policy), Academic Integrity Policy (Seniors have an additional Senior contract), CPS Attendance Policies and Procedures, CPS High School Promotion Policy,  CPS Media Consent Form and Release, CPS Family Income Information Form
2. Part Two (Online and available now): Review your Quick Start Fee Sheet carefully to determine which fees should be paid now or later.  The Standard Fee of $400.00 applies to every student and helps to cover class, materials, and activity costs, even during remote learning. If you are taking AP classes, please pay for the tests now.  Please click here for more information regarding AP fees and registration for Advanced Placement exams. Additional items must be paid prior to Quick Start in order to receive the items. If you are unable to pay the Standard Fee, you can apply for a waiver of instructional fees when completing the Family Income Information Form during Part 1 of Quick Start. Fee reductions ARE NOT available for  additional items. If a student is unable to pay their fees, the registration process can still be completed and no payment plans are required. 3. Part Three (In Person- Subject to change based on guidance from the CDC or our district): QUick start will be conducted outdoors ONLY!!! In order to successfully manage the photo process, we will be following all CDC guidelines for schools; students must wear a mask and stay six feet apart while on campus. If a student is sick, they should NOT report to Quick Start in-person. Anyone not following the guidelines provided by the CDC will not be allowed to complete the in-person registration. Students will be handed materials but should not  touch surfaces at any table stations. Please report to Lane on your assigned day and time to take your photo and pick up items:

• 9/1/20-  LTAC, Freshmen –  – Quick Start Schedule
• 9/2/20-  Sophomores and Juniors – – Quick Start Schedule
• 9/3/20- Seniors – – Quick Start Schedule

These are the only three days that are available to take photos and pick up items. If you cannot report on your assigned day or assigned time, please let us know:  Quick Start Date/Time Change Form . An alternative time or day can be provided within the allotted three days only.  If the dates and times do not work for your family, 

  * Please note that reporting in-person is subject to change based on guidance provided by our district.  

1. Payment Process:  Student fees must be paid ONLINE only via our  Lane Tech EPAY Link no later than September 4, 2020  via Debit or Credit Card. If you do not have an EPAY account (this is different from your student’s CPS email account), select the option to “Make a One Time Payment.”  If you have an issue with the site, please contact the EPAY site directly as it is not controlled by Lane Tech. 

If a student is unable to pay their fees, the registration process can still be completed and no payment plans are required. Parents can pay for fees throughout the school year through our EPAY website or apply for a waiver for the standard fee when submitting the Family Income Form through the Quick Start registration site.

Special exceptions must be worked out with a school administrator for families that can only pay for fees using a money order. This approval will not be provided until after August 28th, 2020. 1. New in 2020/2021  All students will take their yearbook photos during Quick Start ONLY!! This includes our seniors and 8th graders. The photos taken at Quick Start will be used as your graduation (8th and 12th graders), yearbook, and ID photos. Please come dressed appropriately (only the top half of your body will be seen in the photo). 

•  All students MUST have their shoulders covered and everyone must follow the Dress Code Policy, or the yearbook committee reserves the right not to include you in the 2020/2021 yearbook. 
• We do not have alternative dates for yearbook photos at this time. If an alternative yearbook picture arrangement needs to be made, please use this form to submit your request: Yearbook Picture Alternative Request.  WE CANNOT GUARANTEE ANOTHER TIME FOR THIS PHOTO TO BE TAKEN. 

If you would like to purchase a set of your pictures, use the following link to order your pictures directly from VIP: 2020/2021 VIP Picture Order Link DO NOT include the price for these pictures with your Quick Start fees. 

*Please note that any part of this Quick Start process  is subject to change based on guidance from our district  or CDC regarding new COVID restrictions. 

Completing these forms in a timely manner will assist us in efficiently beginning the school year. It is important that you read ALL information on the website regarding Quick Start in order to follow specific details regarding your child’s individualized registration process. ¡Bienvenido a nuestro proceso de registro “Quick Start”! El enlace para completar el proceso de registro llegará el 21 de agosto de 2020. Todo estudiante debe completar el proceso de registro ”Quick Start” para comenzar el año escolar en el camino correcto. Nuevo para 2020-2021:

• Lane Tech está haciendo la transición a un modelo de escuela que provee tecnología 1:1.  Cuando regresemos al aprendizaje en persona, le pedimos a cada estudiante que tenga su propia tecnología portátil personal que lo traigan y para aquellos estudiantes que no tengan acceso a la tecnología móvil, Lane Tech se asegurará de que cada estudiante reciba uno. • Debido al aprendizaje remoto, se han pospuesto varias tarifas hasta que volvamos al aprendizaje presencial. 2.  Segunda parte (en línea y disponible ahora): Revise cuidadosamente su hoja de tarifas de “Quick Start.” 

NUEVO para 2020-2021 Debido al aprendizaje a distancia, se han pospuesto varias tarifas hasta que regresemos al aprendizaje en persona. Sin embargo, algunas tarifas deben pagarse durante el proceso de registro (el sitio web de Lane Tech EPay ya está disponible). Pague únicamente las tarifas que le correspondan. 3.  Tercera parte (En persona, sujeto a cambios según la orientación de nuestro distrito): Con el fin de manejar con éxito el proceso de la fotografía, seguiremos todas las pautas para las escuelas del CDC; los estudiantes deben usar una máscara y permanecer a seis pies de distancia mientras estén en el campus. Cualquier persona que no siga las pautas proporcionadas por el CDC no podrá completar el registro en persona. Los estudiantes recibirán materiales, pero no deben tocar superficies en ninguna estación. Preséntese en la escuela el día y la hora asignados para tomar su foto y recoger los artículos.

Si no tiene una cuenta EPAY (esta es diferente de la cuenta de correo electrónico de CPS de su estudiante), seleccione la opción “Realizar un pago único” o “Make a One Time Payment.” Si tiene un problema con el sitio, comuníquese directamente con el sitio de EPAY, ya que Lane Tech no lo controla.

Si un estudiante no puede pagar sus tarifas, el proceso de registro aún se puede completar y no se requieren planes de pago.
