PROM INFORMATION 2023
Prom Date: Saturday, May 13, 2023 6 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Prom Location: Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk
Prom Theme: Hollywood/Red Carpet
Prom Cost: $125.00 per person

Important Dates:
Thursday, March 16. 2023: Senior Debt must be paid by this date in order to apply for a prom ticket.
Friday, March 31, 2023: Seniors may not have more than 19 demerits by this date in order to apply for a prom ticket. **This applies to underclassmen Lane dates as well
Monday, April 3, 2023: Prom Application Released (Only eligible students will be on the prom application)
Friday, April 14, 2023: Prom Application Closed (prom tickets must be paid for by this date as well)
Friday, April 14, 2023: Prom Guest Applications Due to Dean Martin
Tuesday-Wednesday, May 9, 2023 – May 10, 2023: Prom attendees can pick up their prom favors from room 147 (times TBD)
FAQ:
- Can I bring a date from outside Lane Tech?
Yes. However, no one may bring a date who is 21 or older and we must have a guest application on file
- How do I pay?
We will only accept payments on Lane’s epay website. We will share this link in the application.
- Can I come late to prom?
The latest you are allowed to enter is 7:00 p.m. due to the dinner service. Students who come after 7 will not be admitted.
- Can I leave early from prom?
Yes, but once you leave, you may not come back in.
- Is there a dress code?

- What should I bring?
All students and guests must bring a photo ID (examples include Lane ID, Driver’s License, State ID, etc.). NO students will be let in without an ID.
- What should I NOT bring?
Do not bring backpacks or large bags. Students may bring a small bag for phones, makeup, etc. All bags will be checked.
- What does the prom price cover?
The price includes the dinner, favors, decorations, dj cost, and personnel costs
- What happens if I misbehave prior to prom?
If you are disciplined prior to prom for an egregious act as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct, you have the potential to lose your ability to attend prom. That applies to Lane guests who are in a different grade level.
- What happens if I misbehave at prom?
You will be escorted out and disciplined according to the Student Code of Conduct when we return to school. This might impact your ability to participate in the graduation ceremony as well.
