Back to Our Future (B2OF) is a new CPS initiative created to ensure that all students, regardless of circumstances, can get back to learning. It is available for youth ages 14-20 who have been disengaged from CPS or have a history of chronic absenteeism. This includes youth involved in the juvenile justice system or who are disconnected from school because of the effects of violence in their communities.
B2OF meets disconnected students where they are with 9-12 month programs designed to help get them back on track and complete their education through:
- 12 weeks of paid skills and workforce development training
- High-level mentorship and life coaching
- Clinical Services – Including mental health and trauma support
- Family Support – A direct social services connection
B2OF provides safety, a support system, economic opportunities, and a warm transition back into an educational setting.
Do you know someone who would benefit from this program? B2OF is seeking referrals to connect youth to this amazing opportunity. Click here to submit a referral form. To learn more about Back to Our Future visit www.cps.edu/B2OF or you can email Back2OurFuture@cps.edu.
